Tech Usama is an independent publication about Android phones, the apps people install on them and the games they play on them. It is run by its founder, Usama, and it has one job: to help you make better decisions about your phone with clear, accurate writing.

No hype, no padding and no pretending. If an app is only good for one kind of person, we say who. If a popular setting tip doesn't do much, we say that too.

What we cover

  • Android: features and settings, including the useful ones that are easy to miss.
  • Apps: recommendations for productivity, notes, photo and video editing, file management and more, matched to what you actually need.
  • Mobile gaming: games worth your time across genres, plus which ones play offline, support controllers or run well on modest hardware.
  • Practical guides: step-by-step help with storage, battery life, game performance, lag, and privacy and security settings.
  • AI tools on phones: what AI apps and features can do on Android today, and what to check before you hand them your data.

Who it's for

Tech Usama is written for everyday Android users rather than industry insiders: people setting up a new phone, students working with a tight budget, players on older devices, and anyone who would rather read for five minutes than spend an evening installing and uninstalling apps. You don't need technical knowledge to follow our guides. When a step depends on your phone's brand, we point that out, because Samsung, Pixel and Xiaomi menus rarely match.

How we work

Our recommendations come from research: official Google Play listings, developer websites and documentation, Android's own help pages, and reputable reporting. Details that change often, such as pricing models, offline support and controller support, are checked against official sources when an article is written and again when it is updated.

We are careful about what we claim. Unless an article explicitly says something was tested hands-on, it wasn't, and we won't suggest otherwise. Opinions are labeled as opinions. Nobody can pay for a spot in a recommendation list.

AI tools may help with research and drafting, but a human editor reviews, fact-checks and edits every article before it is published. The full details are in our editorial policy.

What we don't do

  • We don't host APK files or other downloads. Our links go to official app stores and developer sites.
  • We don't publish invented benchmarks, statistics or download counts.
  • We don't let advertisers influence what we cover or recommend.
